Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Eğitiminde Fiziksel Aktivite için Teknolojiyle Oyunlaştırmanın Önemi: Sistematik Derleme

Year 2024, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 1 - 9

Abstract

Fiziksel aktivite hayatımızın her alanını etkilemektedir.

The Importance of Gamification with Technology for Physical Activity in Physical Education and Sport Education: A Systematic Review

Year 2024, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 1 - 9

Abstract

Physical activity affects every area of our lives. A sedentary lifestyle can lead to health problems and reduced quality of life, as well as non-communicable diseases worldwide. In this scope, the concept of gamification offers a new approach that includes game design elements that aim to add fun and enjoyment to physical activity and exercise. Many studies show that gamification is an important solution for school-based physical activity and exercise promotion, especially for building healthy behaviours in children and adolescents. Accordingly, the aim of this systematic review is to provide comprehensive information on the current status and characteristics of research on the use of gamification to promote physical activity and exercise in children and adolescents. As a result of the literature review, 1305 articles were reached. Among the 159 articles whose eligibility was evaluated according to the inclusion criteria, a total of 7 articles were included in this review, taking into account studies on children and adolescents, studies based on school intervention, and studies based on technology and gamified physical activity. This review provides an important resource for understanding the effects of gamification on the promotion of physical activity in children and adolescents.
