Çocukların değerlerinin ölçülmesi: Portrait değerler ölçeğinin Türkçe’ye uyarlanması

Abstract

Değerler kişinin duygularıyla bağlantılı inançlardır. Schwartz (1992, 1994)’ın değerler modeli insan değerlerinin evrensel olduğunu ileri sürmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Schwartz’ın çocukların değerlerini ölçmek amacı ile geliştirdiği Portrait Değerler Ölçeğinin (PDÖ) Türkçe’ye uyarlamasını gerçekleştirmektir. Çalışmanın katılımcıları, 218 öğrenciden (108 kız %49.5) oluşmaktadır. Öğrencilerin yaşları 9-12 (Ort:10.53  Ss:.73) arasında değişmektedir. Öğrencilerin 150 (%68)’si 4. sınıf ve 68 (%31)’i 5. sınıftandır. Veriler Denizli merkezdeki üç okuldan toplanmıştır. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliği için çok boyutlu ölçekleme analizi kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğin alt boyutlarında yer alan değerler bakımdan bazı farklılıklar saptanmıştır. Ölçeğin doğrulayıca faktör analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ölçek dört faktörde toplanmıştır. Ayrıca,  PVQ’nun çocukların değerlerini güvenilir şekilde ölçmektedir. Sonuçlar ölçeğin psikometrik özelliklerinin yeterliliği ve evrensel değerler çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır.
