Abstract
Hanım Bibi (hala), 95 yaşında, Sivas Divriği İlçesi’nin Güneş Köyünün 50 yıllık köy ebesidir. Hanım Bibi, 1970’lere kadar köyündeki ve çevre köylerdeki hemen hemen her kadının doğumunu yaptıran diğer bir deyişle bir ai- lenin üç kuşağının doğumuna şahit olan hala kendi köyünde yaşayan o yörenin birkaç canlı tanığından biridir. Hanım Bibi’nin ebelik mesleği kendi deyimiyle bundan 75 yıl önce ilk çocuğunu ekin tarlasında tek başına do- ğurmasıyla başlıyor. Hanım bibi gebedir ve köyünden biraz uzak bir tarlada ekin biçmektedir. Ekin tarlasında doğum sancıları başlar, o aldırmaz ekin biçmeye devam eder, sancılar beline kasıklarına vurmaya başlar, san- cıları onun deyimiyle “ürün ürün” gelir yani sancıların ardı arkası kesilmez ve tarlada doğum yapmak zorunda kalır. Bugün 75 yaşında olan ilk çocuğunu dünyaya getirir. Çocuğunun göbeğini iple bağlar ve kordonu taşla keser, önlüğü ile bebeğin ağzını burnunu siler, geceliğini bebeğe zıbın yapar, eşini (plasenta) düşünmek için karnını ovalar ve ağaçtan sallanır ve eşini düşürür. Karnını ovalamayı aslında ağrısı olduğu için yapar tesadüf karnını ovaladıkça içinden bir şey geldiğini görür ve devam eder sonra eşin düştüğünü görür. Bu doğum onun ilk ebelik deneyimidir. Tesadüfen yaşadıklarından öğrendikleri sonradan onun doğum teknikleri olur. O bunu şöyle tanımlıyor “elin değdikçe ustalaşıyın”. Köyün hanım bibisi bundan sonraki doğumlarını da kendisi yapar ve köydekilerin hatta çevre köydekilerin doğumlarını da yaptırmaya başlar. 50 yıllık köy ebesi 50 yılını bizlere aktarırken aynı zamanda bugünlere ışık tutacak bilgileri aktarmaktadır. Röportajın içerisinde; kendi geleneksel doğum teknikleri, deneyimleri, uygulamaları, etik ilkeler, mahremiyet, iletişim, aileyi işin içine katma, kadını ve aileyi bilgilendirmenin önemi sürekli vurgulanmaktadır. Yine röportajı izlerken normal doğumun uzun ve nor- mal bir süreç olduğunu, bu sürece uyulduğunda sezaryen sayısının çok düşeceğini, köy ebelerinin geleneksel uygulamalarından bazılarının bugün hâlâ geçerli olduğunu görmekteyiz. Yöntem: Araştırmacı 2010’nun Haziranında araştırmacının da kendi köyü de olan Güneş Köyüne giderek Ebe Hanım Bibi röportaj yapmış ve çekim yapmıştır. Sorular eşliğinde çekilen 15 dakikalık belgesel sunumla birlikte kongrede gösterilecektir
Abstract
Purpose: The aim of this study is to show the reflections of the traditional delivery methods and to determine
whether there is a connection between past practices. Metod: Researcher collected the data in June 2010
in her own village , the viilage of Sivas Divrigi named as “Güneş Village by the metod of interview with “Mrs
Bibi” and shosting .
While the exect data of birth of Mrs Bibi is unknown , according to the comparision of her pears, it is calculated that she must be 96 years old and in her own rhetoric she is 100 years old. She is the widwife of Güneş
Village for 50 years . Mrs. Bibi helped the birth of the nearly every women in her village and surrounding
villages till the time “her hands can work”. She witnessed the birth of three generations of a family and she
is a living witness of that region. The midwifery profession of Mrs Bibi stars 80 years ago with her first
childs birth.Mrs Bibi was pregnant , she was 15 years old and her birth pains began.she ignored the pains , but
waist pains began to hit her groin ; and pain increoses and didn’t give break and gave birth while working in
the village. Her first baby ,who is 80 years old now , was born. She binded and cut the umblical cord of her
baby with the help of people around her.She falled the placenta by the massage of her abdomen. She made
massage to her abdomen to relieve the pain and incidentally saws that this was the way to as plasenta.The old
women told her that its named as plasenta.This birth was her first experience of midwifery.These incidentally
lived proctices formed her birth techniquens. She describes this as “ you become master by helping too many
births”.The Mrs Bibi of the village gave all her births alone and subsequently helped the birth of the women
in her village and surrounding villages.While telling her 50 year midwifery life, she also transferred datos to
illimunote today. In this interview , her troditional delivery methods, experiences, proctices , ethics , privacy,
importance of communication and family help, the importance of informing the women and family are emphisised. Also in the interview the Mrs Bibi tolled by the sentence “ Giving birth is a situation which must not
be hurried ” that the process of labor requires patience and when you comply everthing goes normal.She told
that ceserean section must be last choice by the sentence “ the last task is knife at birth”.She also emphisised
the importance of size of birth canal by the sentence “my palm was the measure”.
