Bilgisayar Oyun Dergileri ve Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçenin Öğretimi

Abstract

Bilgisayar oyun dergileri, tüm dünyada hemen her yaştan insanın takip ettiği ama genç yaştaki insanlar arasında daha yaygın olan dergilerdir. Türkiye’de belirli dönemlerde birçok bilgisayar oyun dergisi yayınlanmış olmakla birlikte, günümüzde hâlâ yayınlanmakta olan ve öne çıkan bilgisayar oyun dergileri LEVEL ve Oyungezer isimli aylık dergilerdir. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle söz konusu iki derginin oyun inceleme bölümleri dikkate alınarak Bhatia’nın (1993) önerdiği yöntemle dilsel özellikleri belirlenmiş, daha sonra da bu dergilerdeki dilsel zenginlikten yabancı dil olarak Türkçenin öğretiminde nasıl yararlanılabileceği tartışılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçları göstermektedir ki bu dergilerdeki metinler konuşma diline yakın ve kalıplaşmış dilsel kullanımlardan farklıdır. Bu bağlamda, söz konusu dergilerin başlangıç seviyesi hariç bütün seviyelerdeki sınıflarda kullanılması mümkün görünmektedir

Video Game Magazines and Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language

Abstract

Video game magazines are magazines read by people of all ages all around the world, but they are more common among the young. While many video game magazines have been published in Turkey in the past, the two prominent video game magazines still being published on a monthly basis are LEVEL and Oyungezer. In this study, firstly the linguistic features of the game review sections of the two magazines were determined through the method suggested by Bhatia (1993) and then, how this linguistic wealth could benefit the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language was discussed. The results of the study make it clear that the texts used in these magazines show spoken language properties and are different from stereotyped linguistic expressions. In this context, it looks possible that the magazines in question could be used in all classes with the exception of the beginner level.
