Türk ve yabancı uyruklu öğrenciler arasında kemik grefti seçimi üzerine etkili olan faktörlerin incelenmesi
Öz
Amaç: Diş hekimliği pratiğinde birçok farklı kemik grefti kullanılmakta ancak seçimi konusunda bazen kararsız kalınmaktadır. Bu etkenlerin araştırılması, karasızlığın ortadan kaldırılması, en az maliyetle, hem hasta tercihine en uygun hem de hekimin en rahat uygulayabileceği kemik greftini daha kolay seçebilmeye yön göstermek adına bu araştırma planlanmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Çankırı Karatekin Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi ve Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde okuyan toplam 366 gönüllü katılımcıya verilen, 3 bölümden oluşan bir anket aracılığı ile Türk ve yabancı uyruklu öğrenciler arasında kemik grefti seçimi üzerine etkili olan faktörler incelenmiştir.
Bulgular: Yapılan istatistiksel analiz sonucunda; vejeteryan/vegan olma, yapılacak cerrahi işlemden korkma, greftlerin pahalı olduğunu düşünme, doktor tavsiyesine göre seçim yapma ve önceden cerrahi deneyimi olma ile seçilen kemik grefti türü arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı (p>0.05) ancak; dini inanç, hayvanların bu iş için kullanılmasını uygun görmeme, greft tiplerinden hastalık bulaşacağını düşünme ile seçilen kemik grefti türü arasındaki istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu (p<0.05) tespit edilmiştir.
Sonuç: Kemik grefti kullanılması planlanan operasyonlardan önce hekim hastaya mevcut greft çeşitleri hakkında ayrıntılı bilgi vermeli ve hastanın kültürü, inançları ile alışkanlıkları doğrultusunda seçim yapabilmesine imkan sağlamalıdır.

Öz
Objective: Many different bone grafts are used in the practice of dentistry, but sometimes there is uncertainty about the selection. This research has been planned in order to investigate these factors, to eliminate indecision, and to choose the bone graft that is most suitable for the patient's preference and can be applied by the physician more easily, with the least cost.
Materials and Method: The factors affecting bone graft selection among Turkish and foreign students were examined through a 3-part questionnaire given to a total of 366 volunteer participants studying at Çankırı Karatekin University Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Health Sciences.
Results: As a result of the statistical analysis; however, there is no statistically significant relationship between being vegetarian/vegan, fearing the surgical procedure to be performed, thinking that grafts are expensive, choosing according to doctor's advice and having previous surgical experience and the selected bone graft type (p>0.05); it has been determined that there is a statistically significant relationship between religious belief, disapproval of using animals for this work, thinking that disease will be transmitted from graft types and the selected bone graft type (p<0.05).
Conclusion: Before the operations planned to use bone grafts, the physician should give detailed information to the patient about the available graft types and allow the patient to make a choice in line with their culture, beliefs and habits.
