'Hayward' Kivi Çeşidinde Kontrollü Atmosfer ve 1-Methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) Kombinasyonunun Meyve Kalitesi ve Muhafazası Üzerine Etkileri

Öz

Bu çalışmada,  625 ppb dozunda 1-Methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) uygulaması ve kontrollü atmosfer (KA)'de depolama (%1 O2 : %3 CO2) + 1-MCP kombinasyonunun (625 ppb) ‘Hayward’ kivi çeşidinin derim sonrası dayanımı ve meyve kalitesi üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, optimal derim zamanında derilen kiviler farklı muhafaza ortamlarında depolamalar için 3 farklı gruba (Kontrol, 1-MCP, KA+1-MCP) ayrılmıştır. Farklı derim sonrası uygulamaları yapılan tüm meyveler 0°C sıcaklık ve %90-95 oransal nemde 180 gün süreyle depolanmıştır. Değişik muhafaza ortamlarından 60’ar gün aralıklarla alınan meyve örneklerinde etilen üretimi, ağırlık kaybı, suda çözünebilir kuru madde miktarı (SÇKM), titre edilebilir asit miktarı (TEA), meyve et rengi (C* ve h°) değişimleri ile muhafaza sırasında ortaya çıkan pazarlanamaz meyve miktarları belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, 1-MCP + KA ortamında depolanan meyvelerde diğer muhafaza ortamlarına göre daha düşük oranlarda etilen üretimi ile ağırlık kaybı meydana gelmiş ve pazarlanabilir meyve miktarı daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Bu ortamda depolanan meyveler muhafaza sonunda daha yüksek meyve eti sertliği, TEA miktarı,   değeri ve C* değerlerine sahip olmuşlardır. Sonuç olarak, kivilerin  %1 O2 : %3 CO2 içeren KA + 625 ppb 1-MCP uygulaması yapılarak kalitelerinde fazla bir değişim olmadan 180 gün süreyle başarılı bir şekilde depolanabileceği tespit edilmiştir.
